Lakeview Oshawa

Lakeview is a neighbourhood in Oshawa that sits at the southernmost part of the town along the coast of Lake Ontario.

It is bordered by Stevenson to the west, Vanier to the northwest, Central Oshawa to the north, Farewell and Lakeview Park to the east and facing the south is Lake Ontario. Hwy of Heroes forms a natural border to the north and next to it is Bloor St E, both are main roads covering the east-west direction and intersect right outside the corners of northwest and northeast borders.

The Oshawa Creek flows through Lakeview and exits towards Lake Ontario. It is surrounded by several parks such as Cordova Park, Oshawa Valleylands Conservation Area and Southmead Park. Right towards the south end is the Oshawa Museum, sitting between Lakeview Park – Area A and Lakeview Park Beach. Just 700 metres west of Oshawa Museum is the Lakewoods Park Lookout at 65 Muskoka Ave. Head further west and you’ll arrive at the Pumphouse Marsh Wildlife Reserve. At Wentworth St W is where most commercial shopping establishments are located such as FreshCo Wentworth & Cedar, Surplus Furniture and Mattress Warehouse, and CCS Industrials.

Harman Park Arena is the sole sports centre located at 829 Douglas St. Getting around Lakeview is easy by bus.
