Mclaughlin Oshawa

The McLaughlin neighbourhood sits at the west-end center of Oshawa, just south of Oshawa Executive Airport. To the west is the town of Whitby. Waverly to the south and O’Neill to the east and Centennial to the northeast border the neighbourhood. It shares the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club at the eastern border where Oshawa Creek flows throughout the neighbourhood.

Rossland Rd W and King St W form a natural border at the north and south borders respectively covering the east and west direction. Halfway through King St W, it splits into Bond St W and King St W exiting towards Oshawa to the west passing Thornton Woods.

It is home to several schools such as Stephen G. Saywell Public School, DMS Montessori Preschool and Daycare Inc., R S McLaughlin Collegiate and Vocational Institute, Adelaide Mclaughlin PS, Elementary School Antonine-Maillet and St. Christopher Catholic School as well as few churches such as St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, St. Mary of the People and Ukrainian Pentecostal Church. Along with Adelaide Ave, W is the McLaughlin Park Diamond, right across is where Union Cemetery sits. The Fernhill Community Centre is located at 144 Fernhill Blvd.

The commercial centre is located along Bond St W and King St W.
